The current location: News>>IoT is moving from intelligence to autonomy

The Internet of Things industry is in the ascendant. What are the evolving trends of the Internet of Things? What are the challenges in moving from intelligence to autonomy? Which industries will explode again? How will edge computing change our lives?

Recently, Intel China Internet of Things and channel data center business division general Manager Guo Wei accepted China News network "China New Observation" column interview, the above issues are interpreted.

He said that China's Internet of Things is developing rapidly, and edge computing is the inevitable product of the Internet of things when it reaches a certain stage. It can make people live more convenient, healthy and comfortable. As a "bricklayer", Intel drives the development of edge computing with technology integration, provides power for the digital development of all industries, supports the development of national economy and society, and makes people's life better and better.

The Internet of Things is moving from intelligence to autonomy

In recent years, the Internet of Things has been widely recognized and deployed. According to the China Internet Development Report (2021) released by the Internet Society of China, the scale of China's Internet of Things industry has exceeded 1.7 trillion yuan, and it is expected that the scale of the Internet of Things industry will exceed 2 trillion yuan in 2022.

"The development of China's Internet of things is very fast," said guo wei, new requirements, new technology and new brand giants are driving the development of the Internet industry, from the point of a single industry, industry concentration will be improved gradually and the head players in the industry occupy the market share of more and more high, but at the same time, the Internet of things is a very fragmented industry, with the development of China's economic and social, More and more industries will spring up. On the one hand, there is continuous concentration, on the other hand, there is fragmentation to provide more opportunities, which is a development trend of the industry.

Looking ahead, the Internet of Things is moving from intelligence to autonomy, but in the process of realizing "autonomy", it also faces some bottlenecks and challenges.

In Guo Wei's view, the biggest challenge is not technology, but the real needs and pain points of each industry to dig deeper. Some industries are better able to solve problems at the intelligent stage, while others are better able to solve problems when they move towards autonomy. After mining the pain points, an appropriate hardware and software overall scheme is needed to meet the needs. As a supplier of chips and underlying software, Intel works with its partners to design more devices and solutions to meet the needs of various industries in the process of moving from intelligence to autonomy, and to better solve the pain points after the industry moves to autonomy. "From a hardware perspective, we provide better and more diverse 'bricks' and' tiles' to support our industry customers to build better, more and more beautiful 'houses'." Guo wei said.
